London (HOL) - London police are responding to a ‘major incident’ after a vehicle hit several pedestrians outside a mosque on Seven Sisters Road.
The police have not yet called it a terror attack.
Witnesses say a van drove off the road and into a crowd outside Finsbury Park Mosque in north London.
The area is home to many Somali families, many of whom pray at the mosque.
Most of those injured in the attack are believed to be Muslims who had just finished praying Tarawih- extra prayers performed by Muslims at night during Ramadan.
A police spokesperson said they were called to the scene of a collision just after 12:20 am.
They added that "a number of casualties being worked on at the scene.” and that one person has been arrested in connection with the incident.
